Bill Belichick’s girlfriend shuts down question during interview promoting UNC coach’s new book

The girlfriend of North Carolina football head coach Bill Belichick shut down a question posed during an interview promoting the football coaching legend’s first book, turning the interview into a viral moment and igniting another round of discussion about her role in the coach’s professional life.

During an interview on “CBS News Sunday Morning” promoting Belichick’s new book, “The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football,” CBS interviewer Tony Dokoupil asked Belichick, 73, how he met his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson.

Before Belichick could answer the question, Hudson said, off camera and from the producer’s table: “We’re not talking about this.”

Hudson was a “constant presence” during the interview, CBS said in the piece. According to a report from NBC Sports, it was not the only time Hudson interjected during the interview, which they said could be why CBS may have included the one instance.

In the book, Belichick referred to Hudson as his “idea mill and creative muse.” Hudson calls Belichick “my twin flame” on social media.

North Carolina hired Belichick, who has no previous college coaching experience, in December, betting on the high-profile coach to turn around its often-average football program. Belichick won six Super Bowls as the head coach of the NFL’s Patriots. He was let go at the end of the 2023 season and did not coach in 2024.

Hudson has been seen at Belichick’s side at basketball games, on UNC’s campus and at football practice, bringing her level of involvement in Belichick’s running of the program into question. She attended the Tar Heels’ final spring practice, taking selfies with attendees on the sidelines and, near the beginning, walking onto the field to help mic Belichick up.

Hudson is not employed by the university, but Belichick asked that she be included on emails. According to emails obtained by WRAL, she wrote athletic department administrators, hoping to shape the way the hiring of Steve Belichick was publicized and questioned why comments about Bill Belichick were not deleted from the comments on UNC football social media posts. Hudson referred to herself as the Chief Operating Officer of Belichick Productions in one email. There is no listing for a Belichick Productions in North Carolina or Massachusetts.

Hudson is listed as the manager of more than a dozen businesses in Massachusetts, including several with Belichick-related titles and business descriptions, including those related to the “All Belichick Team” and football coaching and leadership. Other companies, including “Chapel Bill LLC,” deal with multi-platform media projects.

Hudson and Belichick appeared together in a Dunkin’ Donuts commercial during the Super Bowl. Belichick turned 73 in April, just weeks after Hudson turned 24.

She posted a photo of a UNC basketball jersey with Jordon and the number 24 on her Instagram account. Hudson has more than 81,000 Instagram followers.

Hudson has chronicled parts of her relationship with Belichick on social media. She posted photos of Belichick dressed as a fisherman and herself as a mermaid on Halloween. She posted on Feb. 21, 2025,  the fourth anniversary of her meeting Belichick. She also posted photos and videos of the two working out on a beach with the hashtag “Billates Challenge.”

Hudson was spotted wearing Belichick’s Super Bowl rings on the red carpet at the NFL Honors ceremony in February.
