All-state Weddington senior K.J. Younger commits to UNC-Greensboro basketball
A big reason for Weddington’s success last year was the breakout season by guard K.J. Younger.
Younger’s standout junior season led to a summer in which he received his first scholarship offer, and now the senior has committed to UNC-Greensboro.
Younger is a bigger point guard, listed as 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds. He averaged 22.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.9 steals per game for the 27-2 Warriors on shooting splits of 59-37-78 (FG-3PT-FT).
This led to Younger making HSOT third team all-state.
As a sophomore, Younger averaged just 6.6 points per game in a Weddington rebuilding season.
