He is aiming to compete in the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

The ex-North Carolina State University swimmer is currently training at the Triangle Aquatic Center in hopes of qualifying for the 50-meter freestyle competition at the highest level.

To secure a spot on Team USA, you must rank within the top two positions.

The speaker stated that they are aiming to have approximately eight to nine individuals qualify for the Olympic trials.

According to him, that was the most effective method to achieve the goal.

“The main issue with the NCAA is that competitions are held in short course. However, for the Olympic Games, long course competitions are required.”Curtiss

“I have the opportunity to work with five different coaches who specialize in improving my weaknesses in various aspects of swimming,” he/she elaborated.

He mentioned that his current priority is to improve his technique.

He is optimistic about being able to train for the Olympics with Team USA in the near future. Nonetheless, he expresses enthusiasm regardless of the outcome.

It will be exciting to have the Olympic team in Cary, regardless of whether I make the cut or not.Curtiss said.

He expressed excitement about sharing training facilities with the Olympians.

“Our younger swimmers will be thrilled to witness this. It will be a great opportunity for the public to attend one evening. The Olympic team members will be available for autographs and there will be a public presentation.”
