704 is dominating the Girls Basketball Rankings with 8 of their teams ranking in the Top 25 at the end of the regular season poll.

The girls’ basketball rankings for the end of the regular season have been published by HighSchoolOT. They include a top 25 list for the entire state and top 15 lists for each of North Carolina’s six area codes. These rankings will not be updated until after the N.C. High School Athletic Association determines its state champions.

Before the NCHSAA playoffs, the last statewide top 25 list shows that eight of the teams are from the 704 area code. There are six teams from the 919 area code, five from the 910 area code, three from the 336 area code, two from the 828 area code, and one from the 252 area code.

The top 25 teams from last week are still present, but their ranking has been rearranged.

The rankings for HSOT’s area code have undergone significant changes and can be seen at the bottom of the page.

These are some important details about the methodology behind our girls’ basketball rankings:

  • The rankings are refreshed on a weekly basis and made available on Mondays.

  • .

The top 25 schools in North Carolina are eligible for the statewide rankings, except for athletic training academies.

  • The state’s six area codes have a separate weekly updated list of the top 15.

  • The N.C. High School Athletic Association playoffs result in a temporary pause in rankings.

  • The rankings will be published the following week following the state championships.
