2024-25 NCHSAA ADM numbers by the East-West Line

With new Average Daily Membership numbers released for the 2024-25 school year, we’re diving into deeper segments of the N.C. High School Athletic Association population.

This is a region-by-region breakdown of the ADMs from the 2024-25 school year. Each school is listed with their ADM from this year and which classification that number would put them in under the upcoming Big 32 8A realignment.

We’ve also included schools that have joined the NCHSAA this year and the ones that are expected to join the NCHSAA in 2025.

The reason we wanted to break this down by region is to show some of the disparities that will be created under the new realignment. Some classes are set to have significantly more of the traditionally west teams while some will have far more of the traditionally east teams.

Recently, the NCHSAA has used a solid line to permanently divide the membership into the East-West region. This also prevents teams in the middle of the state from crossing over with teams on the opposite side in conferences. In the past, the NCHSAA kept the East and West teams together in the regular season and then split them by longitude after the teams qualified for the playoffs. Its seen as a likelihood by many involved that the association will have to go back to the older model thanks to these new classifications.

SUNDAY AM UPDATE: On Friday, the NCHSAA sent schools corrections to the “Final” ADMs that were sent out earlier in the week. We’ve updated the information below to match the corrections.
