CONCORD, N.C. — One, two, three, four. In each of the last four seasons, Lake Norman has gone one round farther in the N.C. High School Athletic Association volleyball 4A playoffs.

And they’re not done yet.

The Wildcats won on the road Saturday night, taking down conference foe Cox Mill by a 3-2 score (25-10, 17-25, 23-25, 25-16, 15-11).

Lake Norman (20-3), seeded 10th in the 4A West, split head-to-head regular season meetings with second-seeded Cox Mill (21-4).

The host Chargers led 8-5 in the fifth set before a Wildcats rally put them back ahead 11-9 and they never turned back.

Lake Norman’s trip to the fourth round will be at third-seeded Reagan on Tuesday.
