Wil Trapp is a professional soccer player from the United States. He currently plays as a midfielder for Columbus Crew in the Major League Soccer (MLS). Trapp was born in Columbus, Ohio and attended Akron Zips for his college career. In 2013, he joined his hometown club, Columbus Crew. Standing at a height of 173 cm, Trapp has become a consistent member of the first team and has impressed with his performances in the MLS, leading to his inclusion in the USA national team.

On January 28, 2015, Wil Trapp played his first game for the USA team, but unfortunately they lost 3-2 to Chile. In January 2018, Trapp was chosen to be the captain in a friendly match against Bosnia and Herzegovina, and he performed admirably. During his time with Columbus, Trapp helped the team make it to the Eastern Conference play-offs in 2015. While his main role is as a defensive midfielder, he has also played as a centre midfielder.
