Player in focus (Jack Bonham):
Jack Bonham, a skilled soccer player, was born on September 14, 1993 in Stevenage. Despite being born in England, the 26-year-old is a member of the Irish national team and has played five matches for the Republic of Ireland’s Under-17 squad.
He started playing soccer at the club level with Watford and signed his initial professional agreement in September 2010 when he was 17 years old. Bonham’s debut as a professional player was on May 4th, 2013 as a substitute in the last game of the 2012/2013 Championship season against Leeds United.
This was the sole time that the 1.92 m tall goalkeeper appeared in a Watford uniform. Afterward, Bonham moved on to play for teams such as Brentford, Carlisle United, and Bristol Rovers. He eventually signed a two-year contract with Gillingham at the beginning of the 2019 season. He has since played nine games for the club and had two shutouts.
