St Mirren are Scottish football club that compete in the Scotland Premier League. Founded in 1877, the Buddies play home games at St Mirren Park. The venue, which was built in 2009, can hold up to 8,000 spectators.

St Mirren are well known for their white and black home kit, while black and violet are the dominant colours of their away kit. The Scottish club played their first match against Johnstone Britannia on October 6, 1877, winning the game by one goal to nil. St Mirren have a bitter rivalry with Greenock Morton, and there have always been fireworks in clashes between the two clubs.

The Buddies recorded their biggest win on January 30, 1960, with the team crushing Glasgow University 15-0 in the Scottish Cup. David McCrae is leading the club’s all-time goal-scoring chart with 221 league goals. St Mirren have won the Scotland Premiership three times (1925/26, 1958/59, 1986/87).
