Sunday’s football game at Lumen Field pits together Seattle Sounders and New England Revolution, the two playoffs-chasing sides. Seattle Sounders have been in a fine form of late, with the team winning three of their last four league matches. As a result, the bookies see them as favourites to beat New England at home ground. A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be Slovakia midfielder Albert Rusnak, who scored a brace in a 2-1 win over Chicago Fire, while Jamaica defender Jon Bell is back from international duty.

The Revs, on the other hand, aim to build on a 2-1 win over Atlanta United. As New England have already suffered five defeats on the road this term, we are going to place our bets on the in-form Sounders. The likes of Mark-Anthony Kaye, Ema Boateng, Carles Gil, Peyton Miller, Tomas Chancalay, and Nacho Gil continue to miss out with injuries for the away team.

Born in Vyskov, Czech Republic on July 7, 1994, Slovakia international Albert Rusnak began his youth career in KAC Kosice. In 1997 he moved to MFK Kosice where he was talent-spotted by Manchester City scouts. However, he did not see any game action for the Citizens in the Premier League as he was immediately loaned to Oldham City.

After making only two appearances for the Latics, the Slovak moved to Birmingham City in 2014. After ending his loan spell with Cambuur, Albert Rusnak moved to FC Groningen in 2015 and it has to be noted that he scored nine goals in 61 appearances for the Dutch club in the Eredivisie.

In the winter of 2017 Rusnak joined MLS club Real Salt Lake for an undisclosed fee. Speaking of his international career, Albert Rusnak made his debut with the Slovakia national team on November 15, 2016 in a goalless draw with Austria. His father, also called Albert Rusnak, used to play football as well.

Unlike famous NFL club New England Patriots, the Revolution have yet to win the domestic trophy. New England participated five times in the MLS Cup final, but they were more than fortunate not to lift the silverware. The Revs played their last final in 2014, with the team losing to LA Galaxy in the title game at StubHub Center. New England Revolution, though, clinched the North American SuperLiga trophy in 2008 and that is considered as the club’s biggest success.

It has to be noted that the Revs defeated Houston Dynamo on penalties in the final of the tournament. New England Revolution were founded in 1994 and Gillette Stadium is the home ground of the club. Legendary defender Alexi Lalas played for the Revolution (1996-1997) and he scored three goals for the Gillette Stadium outfit. Fellow USA ace Clint Dempsey was part of the team as well and you should know that he netted 25 goals in 71 league appearances for the club.
