Ludwigspark Stadion will be packed when Saarbrucken and Kaiserslautern lock horns in the DFB Pokal semis on Tuesday evening. Rudiger Ziehl’s troops booked their place in the German Cup semi-finals by beating the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia M’gladbach and, no doubt, they want to extend their giant-killing run. Ziehl rested several first-team regulars in a 2-0 loss to Duisburg at the weekend, but the 46-year-old tactician is going to field the best possible side against the Red Devils.
Kaiserslautern, on the other hand, set up a meeting with Saarbrucken by beating Hertha Berlin 3-1 at Olympiastadion. Anyhow, home win should be considered as Saarbrucken have been producing excellent displays at Ludwigspark Stadion in the 2023/2024 DFB Pokal campaign. As for the visiting side, all Philipp Klement, Julian Krahl, Ragnar Ache, and Hendrick Zuck are out of contention with injuries, while forward Richmond Tachie is pushing for a start.
