Simon Luc Hildebert Mignolet is a Belgium goalkeeper born on 6 March 1988 in Sint-Truiden. He began his career in a club from his hometown, making 100 league appearances for Sint-Truidense before moving to Sunderland in 2010.

Mignolet spent the following four years at the Stadium of Light and played in 90 Premier League games. As a highly skilled goalkeeper, the Belgian player joined Liverpool in 2013 and has been their primary goalkeeper ever since. While he usually performs well, he has also made some costly errors, causing him to struggle to win over the Liverpool fans. However, he is still highly respected in his home country.

The skilled goalkeeper has been a part of the Belgium national team since 2011, making more than 20 appearances for the Red Devils. However, he has been playing a supporting role to Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois in recent years.
