There will be fireworks when Rayo Vallecano and Leganes square off against each other in a small Madrid derby on Saturday. Los Vallecanos did well to hold Girona to a goalless draw in midweek and they are now on a quest to return to winning ways in La Liga. Pep Chavarria limped off with injury in the last league match, with Jorge de Frutos likely to sneak into the starting XI.

Leganes, on the other hand, head into the match following a 1-1 draw with Getafe. Borja Jimenez’s troops are not regarded as good travellers and seeing that Rayo Vallecano produced a fine display in a goalless draw with Atletico Madrid at the weekend, home win should be considered. Yvan Neyou remains on the sidelines with injury, while both Javi Hernandez and Naim Garcia are major doubts and the duo will be assessed ahead of the kick-off.

The club is playing in the Primera Division since 2011 after being in active in the lower divisions for a longer period of time.
