Our prediction for this Scottish Cup match:

Rangers

Rangers

Hearts

Hearts

Rangers will look to book their spot in the Scottish Cup final when they take on Hearts on Sunday afternoon. The Gers have been having their ups and downs of late, but they are still seen as hot favourites to win the Hampden Park showdown. All Cortes, Danilo, Diomande, and Yilmaz are out of contention with injuries, while Ryan Jack remains in the recovery room.

The Jambos, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over St. Mirren and Livingston and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play. Over 2.5 goals betting option should be considered as well as home win as Rangers want to save the season by going all the way in the Scottish Cup. As for the nominal visitors, all Craig Halkett, Peter Haring, and Liam Boyce are out of contention with injuries. In their last meeting in the Premiership Rangers hammered Hearts 5-0.

Highlighted Player (Jon McLaughlin):

Jon McLaughlin

Jon McLaughlin is a goalkeeper who plays for Sunderland. The 188-cm-tall shoot-stopper played for non-League sides Harrogate Railway Athletic and Harrogate Town in the past, but in 2008 he joined Bradford City. After spending six years at Valley Parade, McLaughlin signed a contract with Burton Albion and he has been playing for the Pirelli Stadium outfit ever since.

Jon McLaughlin made 45 appearances for Burton Albion in both 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 seasons and he has established his self as the team’s first-choice goalkeeper. He was producing scintillating displays for Burton in the 2015/2016 League One campaign and, no doubt, he helped the team secure promotion to the Championship.

Jon McLaughlin was born on 9 September, 1987 in Edinburgh, but he has yet to make his debut for the Scotland national team. Speaking of his honours, the goalkeeper won the Football League Two play-offs with Bradford City in the 2012/2013 season.

Highlighted Team (Hearts):

Hearts

Founded in 1874, Hearts are professional football club that compete in the Scotland Premiership. The Jam Tarts welcome their rivals at Tynecastle Park Gorgie, the stadium which can hold up to 20,000 spectators.

While the original Hearts strip was all white shirts and trousers with maroon trimmings, the club’s current home kit is all maroon with a white-collar. Hearts have won the Scottish Premier League title four times (1894/95, 1896/97, 1957/58, 1959/60), but they have been in Celtic and Rangers’ shadows in the 21st century. Hibernian are considered the club’s fiercest rivals. The two teams first met back in 1875 on Christmas Day, with Hearts winning the match 1-0. The Tynecastle Park Gorgie recorded their biggest win in 1880, with the team rolling over Anchor 21-0 in the FA Cup.

The club’s heaviest defeat came eight years later as Hearts were beaten by Vale of Leven 8-1 in the Scottish Cup. John Robertson is leading the club’s all-time goal-scoring chart, with the left winger netting 214 goals for the club.
