Dani Carvajal, a football player from Spain, developed his skills at Real Madrid’s youth academy. He played in 68 games for Castilla before joining Bayer Leverkusen in 2012. In the 2012/2013 season, he impressed with his exceptional performances for the Bundesliga team.
In the summer of 2013, he rejoined Real Madrid after the team exercised their buy-back option. Since then, the speedy full back has been a key player for the Spanish giants. Carvajal has helped Real Madrid win two Champions League titles (2013/2014, 2015/2016), but has yet to secure a La Liga trophy with the team. He has also represented Spain at the U21 level, earning five caps, and made his fifth appearance for the senior team during a Euro 2016 qualifying match against Macedonia.
He made his Spain debut on 4 September, 2014 in a 1-0 loss France in Paris. Speaking of his individual honours, he was named in the Champions League team of the season (2013/2014). Dani Carvajal has a contract with Real Madrid which expires on 30 June, 2020.

In July of 1949, just one year after joining FIFA, Cyprus played their inaugural match. The Cypriotes battled to a thrilling 3-3 tie against Maccabi Tel Aviv, followed by their first international game seven days later. Unfortunately, Cyprus faced a 3-1 defeat against Israel in Tel Aviv. In November of 1960, they had their first official match as an independent nation.
In the 1962 World Cup qualifying match, the Cyprus national football team tied with Israel. Three years later, they achieved their first international victory against Greece with a score of 3-1. On May 21, 1969, the team experienced their largest defeat when they were defeated by West Germany with a score of 12-0. In 2000, they achieved their biggest win against Andorra with a score of 5-0.
The citizens of Cyprus have not yet been able to make it to the final rounds of the FIFA World Cup or the European Championship. However, their win against Bosnia in Zenica during the Euro 2016 qualifiers remains a notable moment. The GSP Stadium in Nicosia is recognized as the national team’s main playing field.
