Tomas Holy, a professional football player from Czechoslovakia, was born on December 10, 1991 in Rychnov nad Kneznou. He currently plays as a Goalkeeper for Ipswich Town in League One. In 2006, at the age of 27, he joined the youth academy of FC Hradec Kralove. After four years, he moved to Sparta Prague and began playing for their B team.

On June 11, 2011, he made his first appearance for AC Sparta Prague B in a home match against FK Varnsdorf, which resulted in a 1-2 loss. He then spent six years playing for Czech football before joining Gillingham in England on January 20, 2017, with a two and a half year contract. The manager of Gillingham praised the tall goalkeeper, who stands at 2.06m, for his strong presence and ball-kicking skills, which led to his recruitment. During his time at Gillingham, Holy played in 107 games and kept 25 clean sheets across all competitions.

Holy signed with Ipswich on May 24th, 2019 without a transfer fee and quickly made a difference. He managed to keep the opposing team from scoring in six out of his first ten matches with Ipswich, setting a new club record with five consecutive clean sheets. Although he has represented his country at the under-16, under-17, and under-18 levels, he has not yet been chosen to play for the senior team.
