Lorenzo Insigne is a professional soccer player from Frattamaggiore, Naples. He was born on June 4, 1991 and currently plays for Napoli, his hometown team in the Serie A league. Insigne began his career at Olimpia Sant’Arpino football school, but later joined Napoli at the age of 15.

The small forward achieved his inaugural goal in the highest level of Italian soccer on September 16, 2012 during a 3-1 victory against Parma. Insigne, who temporarily played for teams such as Cavese, Foggia, and Pescara before coming back to Naples, debuted with the Italian national team on September 11, 2012 in a match against Malta for the World Cup qualification.

Napoli’s striker, Lorenzo Insigne, scored his inaugural goal for the Azzurri during a friendly match against Argentina on August 14, 2013. His primary role is as a left winger, but he also plays as a second striker. Insigne’s current contract with Napoli will expire on June 30, 2022.
