Highlighted Team (Reims):

Reims

The football club Reims was established in 1931 in France. They play their home games at Stade Auguste Delaune, which has a capacity of 21,684 spectators. Surprisingly, Reims has won six Ligue 1 championships (1948/1949, 1952/1953, 1954/1955, 1957/1958, 1959/1960, 1961/1962). Additionally, they have also competed in the European Cup final twice, much to the delight of their fans.

In 1956, they played against Real Madrid in the final match. Despite scoring first after six minutes, the French team ultimately lost 4-3 to los Blancos at Parc des Princes. Three years later, Reims had another opportunity to defeat Real Madrid, but the Spanish powerhouse won the European Cup again. Mateos and Di Stefano scored in the 2-0 victory over Albert Batteux’s team.

The club’s most notable footballer is Just Fontaine, who scored 13 goals for France at the 1958 FIFA World Cup finals. Reims’ home colours are red and white, with the team wearing white when playing on the road.
