Highlighted Team (Blackpool):
Blackpool FC are a professional English club based in Blackpool, Lancashire. Considering that Blackpool is a seaside town, it is no surprise they are nicknamed the Seasiders. Founded back in 1887, the club play their home matches at Bloomfield Road, which can hold up to 17,338 spectators. In the 2009/2010 season Blackpool secured promotion to the Premier League, but they were not competitive at this level, suffering relegation to the Championship the following season.
In 1953, the club achieved its greatest accomplishment by winning against Bolton Wanderers 4-3 in the FA Cup final. Blackpool is recognized for their signature orange jerseys, but their away kit primarily features the color white. The team’s main rival is Preston, and they often compete against each other in the West Lancashire derby.
Charlie Adam, a former Liverpool player with 26 appearances for the Scottish national team, is recognized as one of the team’s most prominent members.
