Minnesota United vs Seattle Sounders Prediction & Betting Tips | 24/08/2024 | Football

Our prediction for this MLS match:

Minnesota United

Minnesota United

Seattle Sounders

Seattle Sounders

Minnesota United will look to build on the League Cup win over Necaxa when they restart their MLS campaign with a home game against Seattle Sounders. The Loons are eager to stay in the playoffs berth, but Saturday’s game will be anything but a walk in the park for the home side. Both DJ Taylor and Wil Trapp are sidelined with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team.

The Sounders, on the other hand, failed to impress in their last Major League Soccer game, with the team losing to Los Angeles FC (0-3) in front of home fans. As both Seattle and Minnesota will go for a victory in the Allianz Field clash, we are tempted to place our bets on both teams to score. Midfielder Braudilio Rodrigues should be the only absentee in the visiting team as the 24-year-old has yet to overcome a hamstring problem.

Highlighted Player (Albert Rusnak):

Albert Rusnak

Born in Vyskov, Czech Republic on July 7, 1994, Slovakia international Albert Rusnak began his youth career in KAC Kosice. In 1997 he moved to MFK Kosice where he was talent-spotted by Manchester City scouts. However, he did not see any game action for the Citizens in the Premier League as he was immediately loaned to Oldham City.

After making only two appearances for the Latics, the Slovak moved to Birmingham City in 2014. After ending his loan spell with Cambuur, Albert Rusnak moved to FC Groningen in 2015 and it has to be noted that he scored nine goals in 61 appearances for the Dutch club in the Eredivisie.

In the winter of 2017 Rusnak joined MLS club Real Salt Lake for an undisclosed fee. Speaking of his international career, Albert Rusnak made his debut with the Slovakia national team on November 15, 2016 in a goalless draw with Austria. His father, also called Albert Rusnak, used to play football as well.

Highlighted Team (Minnesota United):

Minnesota United

Based in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area, Minnesota United are a professional soccer club that will compete in the Western Conference in the Major League Soccer from 2017. The Loons will make their MLS debut against Portland Timbers on March 4, 2017 and, no doubt, they have big ambitions for the forthcoming season.

Minnesota United are the sixth team to join MLS from a lower division and they will welcome their rivals at TCF Bank Stadium. The capacity of the stadium is 52.525 and it was opened in September, 2009. Bill McGuire is the club’s owner and he is on a quest to turn Minnesota United into a top-table side in the Western Conference.

Adrian Heath will be in charge of the club in the 2017 season and it has to be noted that the English tactician used to train the likes of Manchester City, Everton, Aston Villa and Espanyol in the past. You should know that the club was founded on March 25, 2015.
