Inter Miami vs New England Revolution Prediction & Betting Tips | 19/10/2024 | Football

Our prediction for this MLS match:

Inter Miami

Inter Miami

New England Revolution

New England Revolution

Inter Miami will look to put icing on the cake on a very successful regular season when they welcome New England Revolution to their Chase Stadium. The Herons have already clinched top position in the Eastern Conference, but they surely want to give fans yet another reason to celebrate. Leo Messi should be rested in Saturday’s clash after returning from international duty with Argentina, while all Farias, Freire, Leonardo Afonso, and dos Santos remain in the recovery room.

The Revs, on the other hand, are having a season to forget. New England failed to book their spot in the playoffs and given their three-game losing run in the Major League Soccer, anything but a routine home win would be a big surprise. All Cil, Chancalay, and Miller are out of contention with injuries for the away team, while Will Sands will be assessed ahead of the kick-off.

Highlighted Player (Lionel Messi):

Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi is regarded as one of the best players in the history of football. He was born on 24 June, 1987 in Rosario and he began his football career at Newell’s Old Boys. At age 10 he was diagnosed with a growth hormone deficiency, but having realized his potential at a young age, Barcelona decided to pay for his treatment.

Messi joined Barca in 2001 and he has been playing for the Camp Nou outfit ever since. The Argentine magician has won eight La Liga trophies with Barca and he helped the Catalan giants lift no less than four Champions League titles (2005/2006, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2014/2015).

In the 2011/2012 La Liga campaign Messi scored 50 goals for Barca, while netting 14 goals in the 2011/2012 Champions League campaign. The five-time Golden Ball award winner has established himself as Barcelona’s all-time top scorer, but he has yet to win a trophy with Argentina national team at major tournaments. Leo Messi, though, has won Olympic Gold Medal (2008) and FIFA World Youth Championship (2005), with la Albiceleste.

Highlighted Team (New England Revolution):

New England Revolution

Unlike famous NFL club New England Patriots, the Revolution have yet to win the domestic trophy. New England participated five times in the MLS Cup final, but they were more than fortunate not to lift the silverware. The Revs played their last final in 2014, with the team losing to LA Galaxy in the title game at StubHub Center. New England Revolution, though, clinched the North American SuperLiga trophy in 2008 and that is considered as the club’s biggest success.

It has to be noted that the Revs defeated Houston Dynamo on penalties in the final of the tournament. New England Revolution were founded in 1994 and Gillette Stadium is the home ground of the club. Legendary defender Alexi Lalas played for the Revolution (1996-1997) and he scored three goals for the Gillette Stadium outfit. Fellow USA ace Clint Dempsey was part of the team as well and you should know that he netted 25 goals in 71 league appearances for the club.
