Established in 1937, Colchester United is a team of paid players in the English fourth division known as the League Two. The team hosts their opponents at Colchester Community Stadium, which can hold up to 10,105 spectators.

Colchester United is renowned for their blue uniform, but the main color of their alternate kit is white. The team has an official fan association called the CUSA. Fans of Colchester view Wycombe Wanderers as their primary rivals, but they also have significant rivalries with Southend United and Ipswich Town. In the 1991/92 season, Colchester United achieved success by winning the FA Trophy, and in the 2009/10 season, they secured the Essex Senior Cup trophy.

In December of 1961, U’s achieved their largest victory when they defeated Bradford City 9-1 in the Fourth Division. Colchester United replicated this triumph 44 years later by dominating Leamington 9-1 in the first round of the FA Cup.
