Charlotte vs Minnesota United Prediction & Betting Tips | 21/04/2024 | Football

Our prediction for this MLS match:

Charlotte

Charlotte

Minnesota United

Minnesota United

Charlotte will be aiming to build on a 3-2 win over Toronto FC when they face Minnesota United in a highly-anticipated MLS game. The Crown have already recorded three wins at home this term and they are surely capable of matching the Loons at their Bank of America Stadium. Both Brandon Cambridge and Ben Bender are out of contention with injuries for the home side.

Minnesota United, on the other hand, aim to put an end to their three-game winless run in the Major League Soccer. The Loons, though, are low on confidence following a 2-1 home loss to Houston Dynamo and that is the main reason why we are going to bet on Charlotte this time out. As for the away side, Franco Fragapane is pushing for a start after getting his name on the scoresheet at the weekend, while both Zarek Valentin and Miguel Tapias are out of contention with injuries.

Highlighted Player (Wil Trapp):

Wil Trapp

Wil Trapp is an American footballer who plays for Columbus Crew in MLS as a midfielder. Born in Columbus, Ohio, Trapp played for Akron Zips during his college career and in 2013 he returned to his hometown club Columbus Crew. Over the years the 173-cm tall footballer has established himself as a first-team regular and thanks to his thrilling performances in the Major League Soccer, he earned a place in the USA national team.

Wil Trapp made his USA debut on January 28, 2015 in a 3-2 loss to Chile. The Columbus man did well to wear captain’s armband in a friendly game against Bosnia and Herzegovina in January, 2018. Speaking of his club success, Trapp made it to the Eastern Conference play-offs with Columbus in 2015. His main position is defensive midfielder, but he is used as a centre midfielder as well.

The American footballer graduated from Lincoln High School where he was named the 2010 NSCAA National High School Player of the Year.

Highlighted Team (Minnesota United):

Minnesota United

Based in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area, Minnesota United are a professional soccer club that will compete in the Western Conference in the Major League Soccer from 2017. The Loons will make their MLS debut against Portland Timbers on March 4, 2017 and, no doubt, they have big ambitions for the forthcoming season.

Minnesota United are the sixth team to join MLS from a lower division and they will welcome their rivals at TCF Bank Stadium. The capacity of the stadium is 52.525 and it was opened in September, 2009. Bill McGuire is the club’s owner and he is on a quest to turn Minnesota United into a top-table side in the Western Conference.

Adrian Heath will be in charge of the club in the 2017 season and it has to be noted that the English tactician used to train the likes of Manchester City, Everton, Aston Villa and Espanyol in the past. You should know that the club was founded on March 25, 2015.
