Brentford will look to bounce back from a narrow 2-1 defeat to Manchester City as they host Leyton Orient in the EFL Cup. Despite the loss, the Bees delivered a strong performance, and manager Thomas Frank is expected to mix the squad for this cup tie. The likes of Kevin Schade, Fabio Carvalho, and Yehor Yarmolyuk are all pushing for a starting spot, with Frank likely to offer valuable minutes to usual substitutes. Brentford will be without Yoane Wissa and Igor Thiago, both sidelined due to injury, but their squad depth should be more than enough to see them advance to the next round.

Leyton Orient, on the other hand, have struggled at the start of their League One campaign, with the team failing to find consistency in their performances. During his five-year stay with Malmo Jansson went on to play 98 league matches, score 6 goals and impose himself as a commanding presence for his club. The Swedish defender was plucked by the Serie A side Torino in 2014 where he failed to make his big international break.

Three years into his stay in Italy – and a season-long loan at Leeds United after – Pontus Jansson moved to Elland Road on permanent basis.
