The FDA announced that fast-food packing materials with PFAS are no longer available for purchase in the United States.
The Food and Drug Administration stated on Wednesday that fast-food containers and packaging that contain persistent chemicals will no longer be sold in the United States. This was achieved through a collaborative attempt with American food companies to eliminate PFAS-containing packaging materials that come into contact with food.
