Ayden-Grifton, D.H. Conley lead HSOT’s preseason 252 volleyball area code rankings
HighSchoolOT has released its preseason volleyball rankings for the 252 area code.
HSOT has two sets of rankings: a statewide Top 25 and top 15s for each of North Carolina’s six area codes.
Our 252 area code consists of these counties: Beaufort, Bertie, Camden, Carteret, Chowan, Craven, Currituck, Dare, Edgecombe, Gates, Greene, Halifax, Hertford, Hyde, Jones, Lenoir, Martin, Nash, Northampton, Pamlico, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Pitt, Tyrrell, Vance, Warren, Washington, and Wilson.
Ayden-Grifton is the top-ranked team in the 252 area code’s preseason rankings. The reloaded Chargers went 24-2 last season and fell in the fourth round to Midway in a five-set thriller,
Traditional powers D.H. Conley, which went to the fourth round in 4A, and J.H. Rose, which went to the fourth round in 3A, are close behind.
West Carteret is fourth after advancing to the third round of 3A and some core pieces back for another year in Morehead City.
Reigning 2A East champ Camden County is eighth.
