High Point Christian Academy rising senior Gavin Harris will attend and play football at Bowling Green State University in Ohio.

Bowling Green is a Division I FBS program that plays in the MAC Conference’s East Division.

Harris is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound defensive back/athlete. He carries a 4.0 GPA.

He announced his decision on his X account on June 28.

The class of 2025 prospect received offers from Miami-OH, Elon, Maine, and Bowling Green.

During his junior season, Harris compiled 46 total tackles, nine tackles for a loss, two sacks, and two interceptions. On offense, he rushed for 196 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries. As a receiver, Harris had 14 receptions for 200 yards and three touchdowns.

High Point Christian finished the 2023 season with an 8-3 overall record with a 3-2 mark in the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association’s Big 6 Conference. The Cougars lost in the second round of the Division II playoffs at home against Trinity Christian.
