Forest Hills WR Jerel Bolder commits to NC State

NC State’s football program picked up a verbal commitment from another in-state offensive weapon on Sunday night.

Forest Hills rising senior Jerel Bolder announced his commitment to the Wolfpack on social media. Bolder is considered a three-star wide receiver by 247Sports.com, which ranks him as the No. 11 overall player in North Carolina from the Class of 2025.

Bolder stands at 6-foot and 200 pounds and played both sides of the ball as a junior for Forest Hills.

On offense, where Bolder spent the majority of his time, he caught 43 passes for 881 yards and 14 touchdowns. At cornerback, he recorded 16 tackles, four pass breakups, and a forced fumble.

Bolder also runs track at Forest Hills where he competes in the 55-meter dash, the 100-meter dash, and 200-meter dash. He also competes in the long jump.

Bolder is the 10th commitment from the Class of 2025 for NC State and head coach Dave Doeren, he’s also the third in-state commitment for the Wolfpack.

Cary tight end Gus Ritchey has committed to NC State, and earlier this month Chambers wide receiver Arrion Concepcion committed to the Pack.

Bolder chose NC State over numerous other offers, including from Appalachian State, Arizona State, Campbell, Charlotte, Connecticut, Duke, East Carolina, Georgia, Indiana, Liberty, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Temple, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest.
