Rolesville edge Jayden Fry headed to USF

Rolesville High School edge rusher Jayden Fry has committed to the University of South Florida.

Fry, a rising senior from the Class of 2025, announced his commitment on social media on Monday afternoon.

Standing at 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds, Fry made his commitment after visiting USF over the weekend.

As a junior last fall, Fry recorded 48 total tackles, including seven tackles for loss and nine sacks. He also posted 17 quarterback hurries, three pass deflections, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

Fry chose USF over offers from Campbell, Georgia State, Troy, and Western Kentucky.

This is the second commitment from North Carolina that the Bulls have secured from the Class of 2025. In May, Dudley wide receiver Koredell Bartley committed to USF.

USF also features quarterback Byrum Brown who played high school football at Rolesville. He was named the starter for the 2023 season and completed 276-of-426 passes for 3,292 yards and 26 touchdowns. He also rushed for 809 yards and 11 touchdowns.
