The 2024 HighSchoolOT All-State Girls Outdoor Track & Field Team

The 2024 HighSchoolOT All-State Girls Outdoor Track & Field Team

The fourth-annual HighSchoolOT girls outdoor track & field all-state team features 40 athletes making an appearance on the team for at least the second time, led by Rolesville’s Joslyn Hamilton, who is making the seventh appearance of her career. Ashbrook’s Camryn Massey and Cuthbertson’s Stella Kermes are each making their sixth appearance.

The all-state team is based on either N.C. High School Athletic Association or N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association championship performance.

The full teams are listed below, with athletes listed in order of their championship times or marks.

The top two times/marks are first team and the next-best two are second team.

In some events, there were ties across different classifications. In order to determine the teams, the first tiebreaker was podium placement (a 1A champ got the spot over a second-place 4A athlete in the same event), the second tiebreaker was best regional mark (if applicable — the NCISAA doesn’t have regionals), and the third tiebreaker was best regular-season mark. If the athletes were still tied, they were each given a spot on the all-state team. Two pole vaulters tied for the last spot on the third team, so both made the team.

Two athletes made this year’s team in three different events this year: Hamilton and Independence’s Maya Love.

Twenty athletes made it in two different events: Massey; Kermes; Ardrey Kell’s Tyler Glover; Greensboro Day’s Dana Wilson and Endia Smith; Dudley’s Jalee Brown; Southern Guilford’s Tianna Spinks; Cuthbertson’s Charlotte Bell and Justine Preisano, Garner’s Kori Randle; Berry Academy’s Chazmin Johnson; Statesville’s Janiya Johnson; Cummings’ D’Anna Cotton; Mallard Creek’s Macy Dulaney; Grimsley’s Makenna Barnett; Clayton’s Selena Carlyle; Marvin Ridge’s Aria Wegh; Hibriten’s Jada Brown; Asheville’s Sofi Alexander; and Rocky River’s Alexandria Jefferson.

The following athletes now have multiple appearances on the HSOT all-state indoor team in their careers, with Massey and Bell leading the way in first-team appearances with five apiece. Dalton graduates with four:
