Real Oviedo is a Spanish team based in Oviedo, Asturias. They play their home games at Carlos Tartiere, which is one of the largest stadiums in Segunda Division with a capacity of 30,500. In the 1990s, Los Azules competed in La Liga, but were later relegated to Segunda Division during the 2001/02 season.

Real Oviedo has not participated in the highest division of Spanish football since then. In the 1991/92 season, they represented Spain in the UEFA Cup, but were defeated by Genoa in the round of 64. Real Oviedo shares a rivalry with Sporting Gijon and the two teams often compete against each other in the Asturian derby.
