South Brunswick promotes Chris Sotriffer to athletic director
South Brunswick High School has promoted baseball coach Christopher Sotriffer to its athletic director position. Assistant principal James Woods previously led the athletic department for the Cougars.
The school announced the promotion on social media on Friday.
Sotriffer has spent the past 19 years as a teacher and a coach. He started his coaching career at North Davidson High School in Welcome. There, he spent his time as an assistant baseball coach, head baseball coach, and the defensive coordinator for the football team.
He moved to the South Brunswick area in 2015 and joined the Cougars as a varsity baseball assistant and the defensive coordinator for the football team. He has taught science and physical education at South Brunswick.
Sotriffer was promoted to the head baseball coach position of the Cougars after Mike Anderson retired in 2022. South has produced an overall record of 26-22 since Sotriffer took over.
The baseball coach has coached two top ten picks in the MLB draft: Austin Beck and Walker Jenkins.
Sotriffer is married to his wife Jennifer and has two children: Grady and Elise.
