Baseball Rankings: 8 new teams in this week’s HSOT Top 25

A number of teams in last week’s HSOT Statewide Top 25 rankings for baseball, so there are eight new teams in this week’s edition.

The new entrants are: Leesville Road, Currituck County, Wakefield, Marvin Ridge, R-S Central, East Forsyth, South Central, and North Lenoir.

Rankings reminders:

  • Rankings are updated weekly and released on Monday
  • All high schools in the state of North Carolina, excluding athletic training academies, are eligible for the statewide top 25
  • There is a separate top 15 for the state’s six area codes that is also updated weekly
  • Rankings are paused during the N.C. High School Athletic Association playoffs
  • Final rankings are released the week after the state championships
