Eastern Guilford has achieved the No. 1 ranking in the final HighSchoolOT statewide top 25 boys dual-team wrestling rankings, marking their first time in this position. Their success at the N.C. High School Athletic Association 3A championship and perfect 48-0 season has secured them the top spot in the rankings.
Out of the top 10 teams, none had a record of more than two losses during this season. Additionally, four out of the top five teams were crowned state champions: Trinity (ranked number 2 in 2A), Uwharrie Charter (ranked number 3 in 1A), and Davie County (ranked number 5 in 4A).
Last year’s top-ranked team, Northwest Guilford, placed 22nd.

Overall, 13 teams that were initially ranked in the top 25 during the preseason remained in the final statewide rankings. Among them, Trinity was the highest-ranked team that was not originally ranked. Additionally, out of the preseason top 10 teams, five of them maintained their spots in the top 10 and two others finished in the top 12.
The complete standings include a Top 25 ranking for the entire state, as well as Top 15 rankings for each of the state’s six area codes.
