The All-State Girls Indoor Track & Field Team for HighSchoolOT in 2024

Twenty athletes are included in the third edition of the HighSchoolOT girls indoor track & field all-state team. Many of these athletes have been chosen for the team for the second or third time, with one standout being Aria Wegh, a senior from Marvin Ridge High School, who has earned a spot on the team six times over the span of three years.

The all-state team is determined by success at either the N.C. High School Athletic Association championship or the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association invitational, which acts as the unofficial championship.

Previous All-State Teams, Final Rankings

The first and second place marks/times belong to the top two teams, while the next two best marks/times belong to the second place teams.

At certain occasions, there were equal scores in various categories. To determine the teams, we used podium ranking as a tiebreaker (a 1A champion was prioritized over a 4A athlete who placed second in the same event). If the athletes still had equal scores, they both earned a spot on the all-state team. Fortunately, there were no ties on this year’s team.

Seven competitors qualified for two separate events this year: Joslyn Hamilton from Rolesville, D’Anna Cotton from Cummings, Charlotte Bell and Justine Preisano from Cuthbertson, Kori Randle from Garner, Mary Bonner Dalton from Myers Park, and Nia Poole from Providence Day.

The players listed have been selected multiple times for the HSOT all-state indoor team during their careers, with Dalton receiving the most first-team honors.
