On Thursday, the North Carolina Tar Heels will start participating in the ACC Tournament, facing off against Florida State.

The Tar Heels and Seminoles will face off at 12 PM ET on Thursday with the game being broadcasted on ESPN.

On Wednesday, Florida State (17-15, 10-10 ACC) defeated Virginia Tech by a score of 86-76.

Guard RJ Davis and big man Armando Bacot lead the Tar Heels and were both selected for the first team All-ACC. Davis was also recognized as the ACC Player of the Year.

No player from Florida State was selected for the All-ACC team.

In the regular season, North Carolina defeated Florida State in both of their matches. The first game, which took place on December 2, 2023 at the Dean Smith Center, ended with a score of 78-70 in North Carolina’s favor. The second match was held on January 27 at the Donald Tucker Civic Center in Tallahassee, with North Carolina winning 75-68.
