Duke, with a record of 24-6 overall and 15-4 in the ACC, has been victorious in their last three games. Meanwhile, North Carolina, also 24-6 but 16-3 in the ACC, is on a five-game winning streak. If the Tar Heels win their next game, they will secure the ACC title outright. However, should Duke win, the two teams will share the regular-season title.

On February 3rd, North Carolina defeated Duke with a score of 93-84 in their first game of the season against each other.
