The individual state championships for wrestling organized by NCHSAA will commence on Thursday.

This week, the Greensboro Coliseum will host the individual state championships for wrestling organized by the N.C. High School Athletic Association.

In the upcoming year, the NCHSAA will not only crown champions in all four classifications, but will also host the inaugural state championships for girls wrestling.

In the past, the NCHSAA organized a girls wrestling invitational, but the winners were not considered official state champions. However, with the NCHSAA now recognizing the sport for the first time this season, female wrestlers can now compete for state titles in a dedicated girls wrestling state tournament.

You can buy tickets either in person or online. The all-tournament pass is $25 and covers all three days. Tickets for the Thursday session are $5, while single-day passes for Friday and Saturday are $15. The championship session-only tickets are $7 and can only be bought at the ticket window, not online.
