The North Carolina High School Athletic Association has revealed the locations for the regional hosts for the state playoffs for dual-team wrestling on Wednesday.

The selection of regional hosts is not based on the team with the highest seed, but rather on which school would require the least amount of travel for all four participating teams. The third round and regional round will both occur on Wednesday, with four teams in attendance.

The third round of matches will take place at 6 p.m., followed by the regional matches at around 7:30 p.m. However, schools involved can request permission from the NCHSAA to start at alternate times.

Regional hosts include:

• 1A East: Uwharrie Charter

• West 1A: County of Avery

• 2A East: Bunn
• 2A West: Lincolnton
• 3A East: Jacksonville
• High School

  West Rowan High School located in 3A West.

• 4A East: Lumberton
• 4A West: Hough

The third round consists of the following matchups. The winners of the third round will progress to the regional championship on the same evening.

3A East @ Jacksonville

• Fourth-seeded Croatan will face off against top-seeded Union Pines.

• Sixth seed Cedar Ridge will face off against second seed Jacksonville.

3A West @ West Rowan

• The Eastern Guilford team will face off against Ashbrook in the upcoming match, with Eastern Guilford as the top seed and Ashbrook as the fourth seed.

• The Pisgah team will face off against the West Rowan team, with Pisgah ranked third and West Rowan ranked second.

4A East @ Lumberton

• The matchup is between Cardinal Gibbons and Laney, with Laney being the higher ranked team as the number one seed.

• The Lumberton team, ranked 2nd, will face off against the Hoke County team, ranked 11th.

4A West @ Hough

• The match between Hickory Ridge and Davie County with Hickory Ridge being the 4th seed and Davie County being the 1st seed.
