Udinese Calcio was established in 1986 as a division of Societa Udinesedi Ginnastica. Prior to 1929, the Udine club competed in regional divisions in Italy. However, in 1929, they were granted permission to join the Serie B, the second-highest division in Italian football. It wasn’t until 1950 that Udinese made it to the Serie A. After 5 years, they were relegated back to Serie B, but after a turbulent period, they have managed to remain in Serie A since 1995. The club’s most successful season was in 1954/1955, where they finished second in the league standings.

Udinese has only won the Serie B and Serie C titles, as well as the UEFA Intertoto Cup. Their current home stadium is the Stadio Friuli. The club is commonly referred to as Bianconeri and Zebrette.

Udinese has had many well-known players in its history, including Bierhoff, Amoroso, Di Natale, Alexis Sanchez, and Dino Zoff.
