East Carolina has offered Jaedon Alford, the all-state wide receiver from Rolesville.

Jaedon Alford, a wide receiver from Rolesville, received his first FBS offer after being chosen for the HSOT All-State Football Team as a first teamer.

According to his X account, Alford received a verbal offer from East Carolina University on Friday. His initial offer was from Bethune-Colman University in October. ECU is the first local university to extend an offer to Alford.

During his junior year in the fall, the receiver who stands at 6 feet 1 inch and weighs 185 pounds had a breakout performance. He made 92 receptions, gaining a total of 1,815 yards and scoring 21 touchdowns.

Alford was among five players from Rolesville who were selected for HSOT’s All-State Team.

The Rams ended their season with a 12-2 record, but were defeated by Cardinal Gibbons in the fourth round of the NCHSAA 4A East playoffs.
