These are the significant dates to be aware of for the 2024-2025 football season of the N.C. High School Athletic Association. This will be the last football season of the current realignment cycle and the last season with four state championships.

Preseason

There is a period of inactivity from July 1st to July 7th.

The period of inactivity is from July 15th to July 21st.

The initial practice (preliminary tryouts) will take place on Wednesday, July 31, 2019.

The first scrimmage will be on Friday, August 9th.
