The recruiting class for NC State consists of 24 players, with eight being from in-state. It is currently ranked in the top 30 nationally and fifth among the 17 teams in the ACC.

Coach Dave Doeren is pleased to receive recognition for his program and recruiting class.

During a press conference on National Signing Day, Doeren expressed his satisfaction with the increasing recognition our team is receiving. Despite consistently ranking in the top-20 for the past four years, Doeren feels that our team is still overlooked. He noted that we are never included in preseason rankings and wonders what it takes for people to acknowledge the success of our program year after year.

The Wolfpack, ranked 19th and with a record of 9-3, will face off against Kansas State in the Pop-Tarts Bowl on December 28th in Orlando.

NC State finished the season on a high note, securing victories in their last five games. They also successfully acquired multiple desired prospects from the transfer portal and maintained all of their commitments during the recruitment period. On National Signing Day, NC State successfully convinced Kennan Jackson, previously committed to rival UNC, to join their team.

Doeren has been prioritizing Jackson since the summer.

After attending a summer camp at NC State, Doeren expressed to his staff that they needed to find a way to recruit Jackson. He viewed Jackson as one of the top players and individuals he had encountered due to his attitude, drive, and performance during the camp. Doeren was determined to secure him for their team.

This autumn, Jackson and his fellow Weddington players emerged victorious at Carter-Finley Stadium, claiming the 4A state championship.

Doeren stated that winning the championship at this location had a significant impact on him. He also mentioned being pleased to have him on the team, as he saw how well the team ended the season.

Jackson is among four receivers in the group, along with Terrell Anderson from Grimsley High, Jimmar “Tank” Boston from South Carolina, and Christian Zachary.

Kevin “KC” Concepcion had a successful first year as a receiver, which was recognized when he was named the ACC’s Rookie of the Year. He caught 64 passes for 767 yards and scored 10 touchdowns.

According to Doeren, when observing offensive coordinator Robert Anae’s offense, it is evident that he prioritizes getting the ball to players who possess specific skills. For any player who excels at making plays, this is ideal.

CB Jivan Baly, 6-0, 160, Meadowcreek HS (Norcross, Ga), freshman

Joshua Alexander-Felton, a freshman from Edgewater High School in Orlando, measures 6 feet 4 inches and weighs 255 pounds.

Lewis Cannon, a freshman from Cabell Midland High School (located in Barboursville, West Virginia), stands at 6 feet 2 inches and weighs 210 pounds.

Zane Williams, a freshman from Wake Forest High School, measures 5-11 and weighs 215 pounds. In June, he committed to NC State.

Trenton Mitchell, a freshman at Ashbrook High School in Gastonia, has committed to NC State in July. He stands at 6 feet 6 inches and weighs 290 pounds.

Terrell Anderson, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound wide receiver from Grimsley High School in Greensboro, has committed to NC State as a freshman, putting an end to any speculation of a potential change in his decision.

Freshman Christian Zachary is a 6-3, 190-pound wide receiver from Calhoun County High School in St. Matthews, South Carolina.

Tyler West, a 6’5″, 275-pound freshman from Andrews High School, has committed to playing for NC State since August.

As a freshman, DB Asaad Brown Jr. stands at a height of 6 feet and weighs 180 pounds. He attends Mt. Zion Prep Academy in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Jonathan Paylor, a freshman at Hugh M. Cummings High School in Burlington, is a WR who stands at 5-10 and weighs 180 pounds. In August, he announced his commitment to NC State.

Elijah Groves is a 6-foot-5, 208-pound freshman from East Robertson High School in Cross Plains, Tennessee.

Robby Martin, a freshman from Huntington High School in Huntington, West Virginia, stands at 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 285 pounds.

C.J. Bailey, a freshman from Chaminade Madonna Prep in Hollywood, Florida, stands at 6 feet 6 inches and weighs 190 pounds.
