The N.C. High School Athletic Association has released the final brackets for the baseball and softball state playoffs.

The final brackets were released after several rounds of preliminary brackets were posted on Monday afternoon.

The first round of the baseball and softball state playoffs is scheduled for Tuesday at the higher seed. Winners will advance to the second round on Friday.

Third round games are scheduled for May 13, with fourth round games on May 16. These rounds will also be played at the higher seed.

Regional championships are a best-of-three series. The series will be played on May 20-24 with the higer seed hosting two games and the lower seed hosting one game, if three games are needed.

The state championships are also a best-of-three series. State championship series are slated for May 30 and May 31. Baseball state championships will be played at Ting Park in Holly Springs and the Burlignton Athletic Complex. The softball state championships will be played at UNC-Greensboro and Duke.
