West Forysth High School graduate Jared Wilson is now an NFL player.

The New England Patriots selected Wilson with the 95th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Wilson, a class of 2021 graduate of West Forsyth, played his college ball at the University of Georgia.

For a time, Wilson was committed to the University of North Carolina. He flipped to Georgia in August of 2020.

He is 6-foot-3, 310 pounds. His younger brother P.J. Dean currently plays at West Forsyth.

The interior offensive lineman sat behind some good players for his first two years and was elevated to a starting role in 2024. Wilson’s athletic profile got the attention of NFL teams. He scored a 96 out of 99 in the NFL’s Next Gen Stats athleticism score.

Wilson joins quarterback Drake Maye, a Myers Park High School alum, in New England.
