— FIFA Club World Cup 2025 is coming to Charlotte.

Bank of America Stadium is one of 12 host venues for the tournament, which begins on June 15. Tepper Sports & Entertainment and Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper led a special announcement at the stadium to celebrate the news on Tuesday. FIFA President Gianni Infantino was there as well.

“Since we brought Charlotte FC here, I think with that and COPA (Soccer Training Center) last year we put the stake in the ground,” Tepper said. “Charlotte is a soccer city.”

BOA Stadium is set to host matches on June 22, June 24, June 28 and June 30.

The semifinal (July 8-9) and championship matches (July 13) will be held at MetLife Stadium. The tournament will feature 32 teams to play for the title of FIFA Club World Champions.

Only two of the 32 teams haven’t been confirmed. The 32 teams will be divided into eight groups of four. The draw and match schedule will be released at a later date.
