Live Blog: Here’s what’s happening at the NCHSAA Board of Directors’ realignment meeting

The N.C. High School Athletic Association Board of Directors is meeting on Monday to discuss the upcoming realignment and hear several final appeals.

Schools have the chance to appeal their placement in the final plan submitted by the NCHSAA Realignment Committee last month. This will be the final chance for schools to appeal where they landed in realignment.

Before the realignment plan can go into effect, the board must vote on and approve the plan. It’s possible the board could decide to make some changes of its own.

The board will also be responsible for voting on a new playoff format and sports calendar, but it’s unclear if those items will be discussed on Monday.

There are several appeals scheduled. The meeting is expected to last for much of the day. The meeting will begin at 8:25 a.m., and the first appeal is scheduled for 8:30 a.m.

HighSchoolOT Insiders can come back to this story throughout the day for updates from each of the appeals.
