Campbell adds six high school signees to 2025 football class :: WRALSportsFan.com

Buies Creek, N.C. — Campbell rounded out its 2025 high school signing class on Wednesday, inking six more future Fighting Camels.
Of the six additions joining second year head coach Braxton Harris’ squad, four will stay at home in North Carolina, and two will join the Camels from Georgia, with four defensive products and two offensive prospects.
Seventy-First High School teammates Donavan Frederick, a linebacker, and safety DeAndre Nance will both make the short trip North to Buies Creek from nearby Fayetteville, while another local product, running back De’Von Thomas, joins CU from Raleigh. Stevie Keener, a wide receiver, is another Tar Heel State signee from Pilot Mountain.
Three-star cornerback Michael Gilliam from Atlanta-area Hampton, Ga. and defensive lineman Jordan Jones from Thomson, Ga., meanwhile, are both Peach State products.

Campbell will begin spring practice on February 11, hosting its annual Orange & Black Spring Game, presented by the Fighting Camel Club, at noon on March 22.
Campbell will kick off the 2025 season at CAA foe Rhode Island on Friday, August 29, also taking on East Carolina (September 6) and North Carolina State (October 4). The Camels will host their home opener on September 13, hosting Furman at Barker-Lane Stadium, the first of three-straight home dates, and six total home games in Buies Creek.
Campbell took on the 10th toughest schedule in the FCS in 2024, notching a historic 24-16 win at No. 17 Western Carolina, the program’s first ever win over a ranked opponent.
Following the season, three Camels were named to All-CAA teams, including wide receiver Sincere Brown (First Team), linebacker Jalen Brooks (Second Team) and long snapper Bobby Cleary (honorable mention).
