Of the 16 teams set to compete in this week’s N.C. High School Athletic Association regional championships, 14 of them have made it to this round before.

The two schools that haven’t made it to the state semifinal round are Wilson Prep and Corvian Community School. These two schools are the first pair of charter schools to ever make it this far in the state playoffs simultaneously.
