NC State’s Kevin ‘KC’ Concepcion entering transfer portal :: WRALSportsFan.com
Raleigh, N.C. — Kevin “KC” Concepcion’s time in Raleigh is coming to an end.
The vaunted NC State wide receiver is entering the transfer portal, he announced through an Instagram post with On3 Sunday.
Concepcion, who went to Chambers High School in Charlotte, scored 18 touchdowns and amassed 1,655 total yards in two seasons and was often a focal point of the NC State offense.
In 2023, Concepcion was State’s most dynamic playmaker, earning him ACC Rookie of the Year and Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. He set the NC State freshman record for receiving touchdowns (10) and receptions (71). His 2024 season failed to meet those numbers, but he still finished with 48 catches for 420 yards and six touchdowns.
Concepcion grabbed a go-ahead touchdown pass in the fourth quarter in Saturday’s win against UNC in Chapel Hill to help the Wolfpack become bowl eligible.
The news comes days after Concepcion’s younger brother, Arrion Concepcion, rescinded his commitment to the Wolfpack. Arrion reported an offer from Kansas State on the next day and is expected to join the Wildcats.
